The New Logo and The Inspiration
The Selangor & Federal Territory Eurasian
Association was registered on 31st January 1991, a collective
effort of Eurasians in Selangor and The Federal Territory to promote
the identity and heritage of the Eurasian Community of these two
states.
The logo, which represents the identity of the Association also
reflects the heritage, culture and nationalistic ties of the Eurasian
Community.
It is designed to encapsulate the letter E.A. which stands for
the Eurasian Association whilst in the outer circle the words Selangor
& Federal Territory identify the Eurasian communities of the
two states it represents.
The circle sits majestically on a floral motif base flanked with
the words Eurasian Association on a backdrop of a ribbon reflecting
the gentle and artistic culture of the Eurasian Community.
The graphic illustration of the galleon is the linkage to the community's
cultural roots of 16th and 17th Century Europe from where our forbearers
sailed to the Malay Archipelago.
The logo is emblazoned Red, Blue and Yellow representing the colours
of Selangor and Federal Territory.
- The designer of the new logo is Mr. Anthony Griffin Hendroff
